Faculty Desk Copies

Free Instructor Resources

Faculty may request the following free resources directly from a publisher:

  • Desk Copy - if you've already decided to use the textbook for your course (print or digital)
  • Examination/Review Copy - if you are considering using a product for your course (print or digital)
  • Instructor Resources - supplemental teaching material, such as Instructor Manual, Test Banks, PowerPoint Presentations, etc. (digital only)

Desk and Review Copies are often available online and in print. Additional Instructor Resources are available exclusively online. For greater access, publishers recommend that every faculty member create their own account.

See a list of key Publishers for more details on how to obtain these resources.

Create an Account

To place a request with a publisher for the first time, you need to create an instructor account. Publishers will likely ask for:

  • Instructor Name
  • Institution
  • University Email

It takes about 3-4 days for a publisher to verify your status. They may confirm by checking the Lincoln University website or calling. Once approved, you can log in to your account to place requests and access instructor resources. To expedite the verification process, it often helps to call the publisher.

Place a Request

Each publisher has its own procedure for requesting desk copies, however, they will likely ask for the following additional information:

  • Course Name/Number
  • Expected Enrollment
  • Term
  • Preferred Shipping Address (if print)
  • ISBN and Title

For more information, see the Publishers page.
